Dear Sir:-
Mr. Edison has read your letter of 8th instant, relative to sand which is found near the upper part of the Amazon Rover, in Peru, and which is said to contain considerable gold. Mr. Edison would like you to send him about four quarts of this sand. Upon receipt of the same he will examine it. When sending the sand, please mark the box so that we will identify it as coming from you.
