July 24, 1891. Mr. E. Imhauser, 205 Broadway, New York City. Dear Sir:- We have two Watchmen’s Clocks in use at the Laboratory, numbered respectively 7044 and 529, both of which we think were purchased from yourself. These are now out of order, and the object of this letter of this letter is to inquire if we should send them to you to be repaired, could you loan us two other clocks to take their place while they were in your hands? We cannot get along very well without the clocks, and if you can accommodate us in the manner indicated we will appreciate it as a favor. An early reply would oblige Yours truly, EDISON LABORATORY By A.O. Tate
