Wm. Jones, Esq.,
1018, The Rookery,
Chicago, Illinois.
My dear Mr. Jones,-
In reply to your letter of 7th instant, I regret to say that everything is so unsettled in connection with the affairs of the Edison Gen’l Electric Co. owing to the recent amalgamation with the Thomson-Houston Co., that it is impossible to tell who is who. You can rest assured that I see any suitable opportunity for you I will not fail to advise you of it promptly.
Mrs. Tate and Dorothy are in Canada where they are going to spend the month of May. The balance of the summer they will spend at Bay Head, on the Jersey Coast.
With kindest regards to yourself and Mrs. Jones and Edna
I am, yours very truly,
