Dear Sir:--
Mr. Edison has received your letter of 28th ult., in regard to a self-closing telegraph key, patent upon which you have applied for. In reply, Mr. Edison advises that you put it in the hands of Messrs. J. H. Bunnell & Company of New York, to manufacture on a royalty of, say 20% of the selling price. Mr. Edison considers the Bunnell people O. K. they having always treated him right.
Yours very truly,
A.O. Tate
Private Secretary.
