May 7th, 1895. Wyoming Phonograph Co., Cheyenne, Wyoming, Dear sirs:- I have your letter of the 17th of April, and in reply would say that you are misinformed on the point that I have bought the property of the North American Phonograph Co. I made a bid for it, but the Court refused to confirm the bid, because the property was not sold at public auction, and directed that it be resold. What would be the legal status of the various local companies for the property as sold, is a question for the lawyers. Yours very truly, Thos A Edison
