Dec. 11th, 1895. Alanson Cary, Esq., #240 W. 29th st., New York. Dear sir: - Your favor of Dec. 4th, came duly to hand, but absence from the City has prevented my answering the same until now. I assume that you refer to the Edison Phonograph Works, who have placed an order with you for springs for a motor which they are getting out. Their indebtedness is very small indeed, and they are asking no favors from creditors or others. I am the President of the concern, and you can feel perfectly safe in filling their order. Yours very truly, Thomas A. Edison
