This notebook covers the period April 1879-April 1880. Most of the entries are by Francis Upton and John W. Lawson. There are also entries by Edison, Charles Batchelor, and Francis Jehl. Most of the material relates to experiments on electric meters. Other material includes drawings of lamps and regulators; calculations and drawings of generators and motors; calculations for electric power distribution systems, and notes by Batchelor on things to be done. The label on the front cover is marked \"Meter Experiments.\"" The book contains 282 numbered pages.
