This notebook covers the period February 1882-April 1883. All of the entries are by Charles T. Hughes. Some of the entries were witnessed by C. Van Cleve. The book contains extensive notes relating to electric railroad experiments. There are also a few drawings. The label on the front cover is marked \"Electric Railroad Hughes.\"" The book contains 130 numbered pages. Numerous pages at the end of the book have been torn out.
