This notebook covers the period January-Nebruary 1903. All entries are by Edison. The book, which has been used in both directions, contains notes and drawings regarding electricity, physical theory, and the nature of matter and energy. At one end are entries pertaining to various experimental projects, including \"xyz rays\"" and etheric force, x-rays, storage batteries, and fluorescence. At the other end is a list of chemical compounds to test in \""xyz ray\"" experiments. A notation at the end of the list indicates that this material was recopied into a \""big book\"" (Miscellaneous Notebook, E-4296). The pages are unnumbered, and at least one page has been removed from the book. Approximately 100 pages have been used.
