This notebook is a continuation of N-19-06-18. It was used by Edison during the period August-September 1919. Included are descriptions of numbered electrolytic and chemical preparations, some marked \"Ford\"" if they appeared promising for use in starter batteries for Ford automobiles. There is also a crossed-out list of projects entitled \""Experiments to be carried out,\"" with notations regarding projects to be assigned to specific laboratory employees, along with others to be performed by Edison. The list begins with \""copper oxide plate\"" and \""Ford starter battery\"" but includes experiments with electromotographs, audions, and \""XYZ devices,\"" as well as electroplating, ore separation, sound recording, and chemical reclamation experiments. The list is transcribed and amended in N-19-09-09. Some of the experiments pertain to Lalande-type primary batteries and to preventing the shrinkage of copper oxide plates. Others involve solutions saved from nickel plating experiments. In addition, there is a list of \""chemicals in the dumpy bottles in showcase.\"" The entries in this book reveal the convergence of Edison\'s work on battery and disc record manufacture in terms of electroplating. The notes indicate that Edison\'s brother-in-law John V. Miller assisted in some instances. The front cover is labeled \""General Book Experiments No 3 Typed.\"" A notation on the flyleaf states that the entries in this notebook were \""all entered by typewriter.\"" The pages are unnumbered. Approximately 100 pages have been used."
