Description

This notebook covers the period January-August 1888. The first entry is misdated as January 1887. The book was used by Jonas Walter Aylsworth to transcribe the results of experiments, nos. 1-830, on wax compounds for phonograph cylinders. The rough records of these experiments can be found in N-88-01-02 and N-88-11-13.3 [not selected]. There are also notes about distillation and crystallization experiments. The book was used as an exhibit in American Graphophone Company v. National Phonograph Company, United States Circuit Court, District of New Jersey. The book contains 181 numbered pages. Several pages were removed before the book was paginated.
