Description

This notebook, which covers the period September-October 1888, is a continuation of N-88-08-28. It contains transcriptions by Arthur E. Kennelly of material from the rough record books used by experimenters in the Galvanometer Room. Included are notes, drawings, tables, and calculations regarding meter and multipolar dynamo experiments, phonograph battery tests, and tests of an electric motor to run a blower at the phonograph factory. Some of the entries relate to the transmission of power from Niagara Falls to Buffalo and to physiological experiments using gasoline on bacteria. Among the experimenters whose work appears in this book are F. P. Bergh, E. C. Boynton, Alex W. Brigham, Johannes H. Cuntz, T. F. Lawrence, and Charles Wirt. The front cover is labeled \"#525\"" and \""Record Book No VI Galvanometer Room.\"" The spine is labeled \""78.\"" The book contains 56 numbered pages.

Two oversize graphs, formerly pasted onto pages 42 and 51, have been appear at the end of the book at a reduction ratio of 18:1."
