This notebook was used by Zachariah P. Halpin during July-December 1914 for experimental notes on a variety of subjects. Included are entries pertaining to equipment for home kinetoscopes, such as lamps and generators, and to film cement. There are also several references to the super kinetoscope. In addition, there are tests of disc and cylinder phonographs and miner\'s safety lamps. The notes indicate that Joseph Whelan assisted with the experiments and that Halpin reported to Thomas Edison, Charles Edison, Miller Reese Hutchison, and the Engineering Dept. Committee. Several entries contain notations regarding Edison\'s comments and instructions. The front cover is labeled \"Tests and Notes.\"" The flyleaf is inscribed \""Zachariah Power Halpin\"" and \""Joe Whelan.\"" The book contains 97 numbered pages followed by an index of 5 unnumbered pages; pages 67-95 and 97 are blank. The index appears first."
