There are also notes on disc records and salting experiments. The business-related entries include statistics on record production and phonograph cabinets on order, along with notes about chemical contracts, places for recitals, and various production costs.
Among the numerous Edison employees mentioned in the book are experimenter Charles T. Dally; H. H. Meno Kammerhoff, supervisor of operations at Edison\'s chemical plants in Silver Lake, New Jersey; plant inspector H. G. (Goldie) Goldthwaite; and chemists Victor L. King and Ludwig F. (Louis) Ott. Chemical manufacturers and suppliers mentioned by Edison include Butterworth-Judson Co., Dow Chemical Co., General Chemical Co., Grasselli Chemical Co., and Heyden Chemical Works.
