Description
This letterbook covers the period April-July 1893. Most of the correspondence is by William S. Perry, treasurer of the company; John P. Walsh, sales agent for sand; and Edwin I. Olmsted, clerk. The letters deal mainly with company financial obligations, stock transactions, equipment, supplies, and sand orders. Included are items pertaining to the purchase of insurance on Edison's life, with the company as beneficiary. One letter relates to the wages of Thomas A. Edison, Jr. The spine is marked "7." The book contains 697 numbered pages and an index. Approximately 5 percent of the book has been selected.
