This letterbook covers the period April 1906-May 1914. The correspondence is by Robert A. Bachman, Patrick Brady, and other laboratory employees. Included are letters to various billing and receiving clerks at the Edison Storage Battery Co. and the Edison Portland Cement Co., as well as a few letters relating to the shipment of supplies to Edison's winter home in Fort Myers, Florida. Most of the selected items relate to the design and construction of molds for Edison's concrete house and to the purchase, repair, and upkeep of various automobiles that were used to test Edison's storage battery. There is also a letter by Bachman to Mrs. A. Theo E. Wangemann concerning the death of her husband and the disposition of his personal effects. The spine is stamped "Letters 24 W.S.[P?]." The book contains 700 numbered pages and an index; pages 675-699 have been removed from the book.
