Description
These two letters, written in September 1927 to botanist Marcus E. Jones, concern a proposed search in Mexico for plants yielding rubber. The first letter is by Edison. The second, on the letterhead of the newly-formed Edison Botanic Research Corp., is by John V. Miller, Edison's brother-in-law and business associate. It mentions Dr. Joseph Nelson Rose, a botanist at the Smithsonian Institution whom Edison hired to collect specimens in northeastern Mexico.
