Title
[LB032065], Letter from Charles Batchelor to Thomas Alva Edison, August 9th, 1889
Editor's Notes
"I have just been trying the 200 thread screw machine, and find it works perfectly. The recording and reproducing points, of course, half size. It will probably want a little heavier weight on the nut arm than the old one, but we can easily fix that. I have taken one of our ordinary cylinders and with reading very leisurely have put on 1500 words, running at 110 revolutions. It can, of course, run much slower than this. I find the articulation is equally as good as anything we ever had, and I believe there is less scratching noise. Shall immediately make some master taps for this and put a few in hand. ### I enclose circular of testimonials from Louisville." Yours truly, Batchelor.
