- [CG001AAI2], Report from Edison Ore Milling Co Ltd, Sherburne Blake Eaton, January 17th, 1882
- Editor's Notes
- Report of operations since becoming general manager on 27 June 1881. Reviews earlier history of RI inspection visit. Acknowledges many problems, mechanical & otherwise, but they're good experience. Separation by TAE's machine is "almost perfect," only 1/10 of 1% iron left in tailings. Itemizes investment and expenses to date, showing net loss. Still operating and expect to be able to repay investment and make small return. TAE setting up stamp mill at Menlo Park for crushing gold- and silver-bearing ores to be worked by new process.
