Vinland Newport Rhode Island My Dear Mr. Edison I am writing to you to tell you again how pleased I am with your cells. I have only had one breakdown, but that was caused by the stripping of the pinion on the motor, so of course that had nothing to do with the cells. I had a ground of 35 bolts during this wet weather, but I put a rubber mat under the two front trays of cells, where the ground was, and now it is almost entirely gone. I have put a 15 toothed sprocket on the motor, instead of the 10 toothed one that was on it when I got it, and now I can get a speed of 16 or 17 miles an hour, with a maximum run of 35 rules. I think that the battery is practically perfect and I have had no trouble at all with it. I want to thank you again for taking so much trouble in fitting the automobile out. And remain Sincerely yours Hamilton Twobly Jr
