[TAE Marginalia] >I think my man will be ready when you get a satisfactory lease E< Chicago, Dec. 10th, 1901 Mr. Thos. A. Edison, ORANGE, NEW JERSEY My dear Sir: Since my return home I have been actively at work in getting the parties who own the "Sultana" mine to give me an option for a lease, on the basis as suggested by you when we last met. They have it under consideration, and I am urging them in every possible way to consent. In case they agree with me, will you be prepared to send your party to make the necessary examination as son as I have the matter in shape? I desire, if agreeable, to join your man or send my brother when the examination is made. Kindly let me hear from you, and oblige Yours very truly, N.T. Leopold
