Letterhead of Office of Manning, Maxwell & Moore, 85-87-89 Liberty Street. New York Nov. 13, 1902. Thomas A. Edison Laboratory, Valley Road, West Orange, N. J. Gentlemen,- Referring to your order for the Blake Rock [Crusher?], we beg to say that this matter has been shamefully delayed. We have taken this matter up with the factory three different times [illegible text], and yesterday telegraphed them that the order must be shipped at once or cancelled. We received a telegram from them from this morning stating that the machine was shipped yesterday. We trust that this will reach you now without further delay, and assure you that we regret it just as much as you do that this delay ever occurred at all. The delivery was promised by Long Distance Telephone by their representative who clearly stated that this machine should be shipped in a week or ten days, of course, which we have that kind of a delivery given we naturally expect that the machine will be shipped in that time. Trusting that this is satisfactorily adjusted now, we are, Yours very truly, MANNING MAXWELL & MOORE, [FW?] Parker
