Thos A. Edison, Esq.,
Edison Laboratory,
West Orange, N.J.
Dear Sir:-
G.A.F. reports:
W. Orange, N.J., Thursday, Oct. 1st, 1903
I arrived at the Edison Works at 6:45 a.m., and assigned opts G.W.C. and J.O'S to do duty at the side gate on Lakeside Ave.
Opt J.P.W. and I remained at the main gate.
Shortly after our arrival I noticed three delegates alight from one of the cars. Later on three more delegates arrived, which made six in all. They took up watch on the cars as they came along until about 7:30 a.m., when the delegates divided into groups of three. One group would remain on the corner of Lakeside Ave. and Valley Road, and the other group would walk up and down on the side walk.
I had to speak several times to the pickets during the forenoon, for stopping men as they were about to enter the office. We did not allow the pickets or delegates interfere with anyone, who we thought was looking for work.
Nothing further of interest transpired during our time on duty.
Opt. J.P.W. assisted opt. G.A.F> during the day and his report is incorporated in the foregoing..
G.W.C. reports:

We were visited several times during the day by opt. G.A.F.
Nothing of importance occurred during the day.
At 6:20 p.m. the delegates left the vicinity of the works and we discontinued.
Opt J.O's assisted opt. G.W.C. during the day and his report incorporated the foregoing.
