[TAE Marginalia] >Say that I know very little about the finance of the Marconi Co. I have faith in it + have some stock.. E<

June 8th 1903
Thomas A. Edison
New York. I am getting old but I have faith in many successful discoveries and institutions and in a modest way have made small investments in shares. I was one of the first to take a small block of the wireless telegraph stock (N.W. Co) when Mr. Schwab became invested. It is now seemingly worthless., Mr. Schwab going out and manipulation by inside managers doing the balance but the invention or science is still existent and I would like you to state whether the Marconi Stock as now offered, will be withdrawn or exchanged for a different issue since your connection with the enterprise, or will yourself, Marconi Pupin in corporate an American Stock Co.,
In either case when will the stock be obtainable what capitalization what from value of shares
I am most respectfully
John McGiness
