- Recd TAE's of 23 Mar in response to his of 15 Mar -- feels imposed on TAE by asking him to acquire some sweet potato bulbs -- notes wonderful affect phono has had on scientists in Paris -- Puskas has not yet written him -- asked daily by several gentlemen if he had yet heard from TAE re telephone for the fire department presently no fire alarm telegraph several systems have been offered and made trials with Bell telephone but they have all been refused "they want something American, something more practical" -- feels he can help TAE realize large profit from telephone and phono -- telephone would be useful in mines as well as large industrial establishments -- would like telephones to experiment with
