papers TAE sent Barker have been sent to printers; quite surprised at attitude Morton took other night toward EL as if he hadn't seen TAE light might have at least taken his word for it [perhaps use TAE to Morton here, this is prob in ref to Sun article]; how much longer before ready to make public; saw notice of organization of EL Co is it for US or only NY; sent letter of intro for gas man he was introduced to; what about light in Phil and can Barker have a chance there; brother-in-law with whom they stayed in St. Louis is officer of a Gas Co and wants to know if TAE can do anything for him there; depending on TAE for lecture on 14 Nov and expecting both TAE and Batchelor, expects to have two Wallaces, a Gramme, a Siemens, and a Brush to try TAE new light with, wants at least 20 burners, will drive all machines with the new Otto gas engine which TAE saw at Wallace's; will he have Batch send things wanted, including old auto apparatus; has TAE seen Draper since his return, wants TAE to come see him in NY, National Academy meets in NY on 5 NOv.
