- On return to Chicago he turned over phono exhibit to the Illinois Edison Speaking Phonograph Association and lists members of same (includes prominent telegrpaphic folk including Elisha Gray and F.W. Jones) -- They pay Bliss 5% of gross receipts -- they claim great influence with press -- apparently Bliss forced into agreement with Illinois Co because of Phono Co -- rented a store in the Palmer House to exhibit and spent much on advertising
