Has got cable furnished from our space (presumably exhibition) so he can connect to any part of France -- telephones work red hot -- discusses workings of competitor telephones -- showed telephone today to American Commission on 18 mile wire and most delicate whisper could be heard -- describes receiver he is using -- going to get the quad Monday, will put up in the space and one in country office -- Pope tried to get it but could not -- quad will fill up space nicely -- saw McLaughlin in London but thought he was going to Australia
