- discussed Brewer's poor opinion of Puskas with him, one reason concerned TAE that P had borrowed money from B for batteries &c in connection with his first experiment with telephone and hadn't repaid; G felt this reflected bad on TAE because P is his agent and so Gouraud told B he would be responsible for amount; in regard to P he wants TAE to be aware of these things as "there must be some fire where there is such a continual smoke"
