Title
[D7903ZFW], Letter from Uriah Hunt Painter to Thomas Alva Edison, July 25th, 1879
Editor's Notes
Will send maps of routes west of MO river. Didn't expect TAE could get platina as cheap as $1 per oz. Please write about Johnson's commercial phono machine. EHJ's toy phono people backed out; "they say people cant make it go without elaborate tuition & they wont touch anytying that the millions cant use at once." No choice but to try selling it ourselves. Marg: "Just got model other day, don't seem to have been made right as it now stands dont think it wold be a success. {---} toy house in NY wold take hold of that thing think Co cold sell them if [---]. All heard of EHJ was aarv safely."
