Title
[D7903ZML], Letter from Edward Hibberd Johnson to Charles Batchelor, December 28th, 1879
Editor's Notes
Yours of 14th rcd. Have 100 new chalks working in place of old phosphates. Soak them for 1 hour, dry for 36-48, and they improve over time. Adjustment of new telephones; need for new switchboards. Patent fight. London news accounts of ELight delays; gas stocks. If I had half dozen lamps could knock bottom out of gas stocks and opinionated crowd that laughs whenver Edison's name is mentioned. Has gotten all the money for likely to be available for District Teleph Co until legal matters resolved.
