- Title
- [D7940ZAP], Letter from Joshua Franklin Bailey to Thomas Alva Edison, July 7th, 1879
- Editor's Notes
- Receivers sent YET? Good time for public exhibit. Demonstrated from Ministry of Telegraph to Versailles. Worked well; Bell and Gower instruments failed completely. Experience with Charley "not satisfactory;" was in constant communication with Herz and broke contract to accept offer from H, doing "more credit to his legal acutenesss than to his sense of honour." Canceled marg: "Write Bailey say I want it understood that I am not responsible for anything that my nephew may do. I shall have nothing to do with him-"
