- Previous cable re 2000 telephones at request of proposed London telephone combination, organized "on terms that will gratify you." Want to get phones in field before Bell. Will have contract next week. Adams extremely difficulty to work with, esp since Charley's arrival, and has left for Paris. Adams very ill & a financial drain; paid only for "charity" sake. Necessary to keep Charley until production models arrive and to help set up exchanges; is he qualified to do that? Invited to exhibit before RSoc annuual soiree.
