Yours of 21 rcd re: applying elec power in shafts below 3000 ft. Would be in following conditions: 1) 100-130 degF, moist air--affect insulation? Marg: "no we should take precautions;" 2)pumps only 6-12 strokes per min; how reduce from engine's 600rpm? 3) divide current between pumping stations 2000' apart?; 4) variable loads; 5) underground engines sometimes submerged.
