Title

[D8034ZBK], Letter from N W Merwin to Thomas Alva Edison, April 19th, 1880

Editor's Notes

Failed to see you last week as "you were in the hands of lawyers" at MP. Yours of 15th rcd. Do you mechanically separate sand & gravel in your dry process? Could you work a dry placer claim? Son has stake in flour gold claim; gold can't be secured by sluicing. Marg: "Yes we could work a dry placer but it would depend on the amount per cubic yard. Flour gold gives us no trouble. Can you send a sample of the sand by mail."
