- RE: proposed new french co. Contract provides for no money now but puts us in better position than fusion would have. Can either get alliance with rivals on favorable terms or go it alone successfully; now have 250 subscribers. Still owe special parties on old co; will have to borrow some. Sorry to draw on you for Charley's bills but little cash on hand. Because of number of practical telephones in Euro, no one will pay for patents in advance of commercial exploitation. Your backers here must not quarrell (ie., Banker). Cable that you have ratified contract will be accepted here as proof.
