- Title
- [D8048ZBD], Telegram from John Henry Harjes to Thomas Alva Edison, March 18th, 1880
- Editor's Notes
- Looked into telephone affairs since cabling last week. Think the 2 parties should amalgamate, or at least get better terms from Auberjohn. He and his party represent very important new newspapers and great political and financial influence." Just learned they are very displeased with Puskas parties and will not accept them or alter terms of March 5th contract, except will advance money needed to liquidate old company. Affairs suffering from inaction; reply soon as possible. Equity and probability of success favor Auberjohn party. If you refuse them, their influence may prevent success of any company formed by others. Cable your decision soon as possible.
