Title
[D8049ZBP], Letter from Arnold Henry White to Charles Batchelor, March 9th, 1880
Editor's Notes
Greatly interested in your letter. Regarding Preece, enclose correspondence you may want to read "as he comes down his gum tree in a very coon-like manner." Regarding teleph biz, EHJ is high-minded and exceptionally able; Bouverie & Co have TAE's interests more at heart than his nominal representative. His association with great names here are "silent reproof to those who allege that Mr E. is a stock jobber." Bell Co increasing its lead; amalgamation not our first object but is inevitable.
