Title
[D8049ZCH], Letter from Edward Hibberd Johnson to Charles Batchelor, March 19th, 1880
Editor's Notes
Gouraud's nephew will probably visit MP. Will damn his uncle quick as anybody so pump him all you like, but watch what you say as G may try to filch private information. G now claims he'll accept proposition & never intended otherwise. TAE's last cable did thte trick. TAE still faces choice of abdicating to Gouraud or replacing him; Co will not accept him in reorganization. More Gouraud allegations. Moore of Glasgow leaves for US. Rreceive him warmly & inquire about GG2, and you'll see merits of new plan for London Co. PS "Insull wants me to thank you for your considerate attention to his application. He will be the right man for E when he is ready."
