Title
[D8049ZFJ], Letter from Edward Hibberd Johnson to Thomas Alva Edison, July 1st, 1880
Editor's Notes
Gouraud leaves Sat for MPark. Please honor Bouvarie's request not to do anything to change status of your relation with Edison Co (regarding G's proposed French deed) until I can see you on behalf of the Co. Important you not tell him I request this delay. Personally, I favor his scheme. Received thanks and 500 pounds from United Tel board--explains at length that he did not expect this or know of it, and has no bearing on matter of G's deed of trust. Also granted leave of absence from 1 July until end of contract, 14 July.
