- Title
- [D8049ZHE], Letter from George Edward Gouraud to Thomas Alva Edison, September 23rd, 1880
- Editor's Notes
- London Tel Co board reluctantly agreed at extraordinary meeting to negotiate new agreement with Edison reversionary trust, with eye to liquidating the Co. I will open negotiations in Renshaw's absence. Explained that parties in trust would agree to equitable division. Details. My worst suppostitions about White & Bouverie realized. Will send you copy of memorandum which is "most bare faced expression of a most unfair intention" of the board. They intended to sell their Edison shares to the United Co, thus leaving you to settle alone with the Co.
