- [D8104ZDC], Letter from Humane Live Stock Express Co, L W Sears to Thomas Alva Edison, September 22nd, 1881
- Editor's Notes
- "Friend Edison: I send you a statement in writing and printed matter that will enable you to reply to any questions that may be put and which you so kindly offered to answer if I could fully inform you. If there is anything not made clear please advise me and I will try to make it plain. The small circular is marked "Confidential" as we deem it unadvisable to show R.R. Co's how profitable such businesses may be made till we get our contracts complete fearing they might want more than the 10% decided upon. This matter has been laid before Mr [Munro? Illegible] today and shoul he consult you I trust you can justly give us a boost--[closing and addressee recap] P.S.You will see who the pushers are in large circular enclosed.
