- Title
- [D8104ZEM], Letter from George Edward Gouraud to Thomas Alva Edison, October 29th, 1881
- Editor's Notes
- Followup to 26 Oct cable; explains why he asked that E only ships 3 stations immediately. Apparently no patent protection where they will be used, so it is necessary to "proceed with caution and after we have duly felt our way." Also because of need to offer Edison power for less money or on advantageous terms "the outlay for all plant must be kept as low as possible." Asks that Edison will consider the matter, and "I should be glad if you would cable me to that effect & supply me with an amended list of prices- By that time I hope to be able to send you a considerable order."
