Title
[D8123J], Letter from Francis Robbins Upton to Thomas Alva Edison, February 17th, 1881
Editor's Notes
Send you samples sent by Brainer of Brazil. Stock is 9' long without flaw, common near Amazon. Bradley will try it. I proposed to Holzer that working day be 9 hours, not 10, to save money and bring all the men to their work on time. He thinks it would cause dissatisfaction. If we could do it, could commence at once. I send you time of arrival of all the men. I would've taken 9 hours but Holzer said he wanted men working 10. Will order for Haid apparatus for making small amounts of gas.
