- Editor's Notes
- Sorry you and EHJ couldn't see Swan's light at Spottiswoode's Monday evening. Pender & Hopkinson were greatly pleased by it. Swan read paper at Glasgow Phil Soc; showed lamps to delight of all. I made measurements at my lab confirming his statements. Tell EHJ I greatly overestimated thickness of Swan carbons; he says they're about 1/100 inch. "Altogether the Swan light is much more perfect and its economyh is much better assured than I knew when I saw you" & EHJ on Friday. Will be very glad to get TAE lamps to experiment on, for my own private satisfaction; will send results to TAE. You and EHJ should see Swan light.
