Editor's Notes
Report on progress at Holborn Viaduct. Got permit to use subway and to light street lamps and shops. Got permit to erect big chimney. Got water supply and tanks for 7000 gallons. Got official space allotment at Crystal Palace. Got an engine maker to loan 3 engnines for Crystal Palace, at no charge. Got Drexel Morgan OK to use $25K to start iso business. Got opinion on lamp patent No. 5. Brush is applying for a disclaimer on his claim to electroplating of carbons. Got an A dynamo wkg at Faure Batty place, driven by gasoline engine. Two facts arose from alliaince w/ Faure: 2 hour limit on batteries before need to recharge, thus they are looking into dynamos; batteries don't do anything to aid voltage regulation. "Got Sir Wm. Thomson on a string (at last). recommend select; it's succinct and covers much ground. dh 9dec02
