- Title
- [D8149C], Letter from George Edward Gouraud to Thomas Alva Edison, January 18th, 1881
- Editor's Notes
- Regarding settling and dividing interest in United Tel Co. Have received no proposal since amalgamation, when Bouverie proposed 10,000 pounds which you & I rejected. I hinted that 20,000 might be acceptable. But market value of United Co makes necessary settlement on entirely different terms than at amalgamation. Secrecy required; told EHJ not to say anything to anyone here except me & Renshaw. Awaiting news on Light.
