- Very much regret any misunderstanding of your instructions for selling United Tel. Co. shares. Thought only interpretation of instructions was to sell shares now for delivery when I received them. Insull wrote that letter so I assumed you had full knowledge of what you were doing. Got a good price and sold some of my own shares; expected price would continue to fall unless deal struck with Gower. But price has climbed since then and I must make up difference until can deliver the shares. Your 24 Aprl letter says prices climbed above 8 pounds (from 6+) day after transaction is wholly incorrect. As to Post Office negotiations, they were suspended for 2 months prior and had no effect on share rise or fall.
