- Editor's Notes
- Delay in Oriental Co settlement with vendors is mostly fualt of Bell's people, especially near impossiblity of getting AGB's signature; G. Hubbard lacks adequate power of atty. Meanwhile the business part was bad; men sent over by Hubbard and Ormes were bad (complaints of drunkenness); also poor apparatus. Then discovered lapse of Bell patents (through non-payment of fees). Tried for friendly arbitration between Co. and Bell party but it broke down so "here we are in September where we were in July." Will insist on full settlement or take the whole thing to court. Young Bell has powers from both AGB and Hubbard; hope to have speedy resolution now.
