"Referring to your letter of Dec. 26, 81 Mr. Edison desires me to write you that he has no difficulty whatever in maintaining a perfectly steady light free of all flickering or noise." docket: "Mr Edisons light is not an arc lamp but an incandescent lamp. He has not experimented very much on the former believing the latter to be the only light possible for general distribution"
